Dr Partow adheres to a trauma model and employs trauma-focused therapies. She believes that actions are not without reason. Everyone is shaped by their experiences and automatic brain responses. Therapy can help people who have experienced trauma to navigate and process their experiences, manage emotional and physical pain, and alter neural pathways to prevent overwhelming reactions.
